Our Story

K. McCarthy is the longtime dream of owner Kathleen McCarthy Goff Weber. Kathleen and her husband, Aaron, started the K. McCarthy Fashion Truck in September of 2013. After two adventure-filled years on the road, they decided to put down permanent roots.

K. McCarthy opened its first brick and mortar store in August of 2015 and moved into its current location, on the corner of Hobbs and Hillsboro, in March of 2016.

K. McCarthy was founded on the belief that fashion should be beautiful and inspired, yet effortless and functional. From empty nesters, to working women and busy moms, women from all walks of life love the convenience, approachability and personal attention that are the hallmarks of K. McCarthy.

About Kathleen McCarthy Goff Weber

K. McCarthy is the merging of two of Kathleen Goff Weber’s greatest loves: fashion and helping people.

Growing up in Little Rock, Arkansas, Kathleen was introduced to the fashion business at a young age through family and friends. Her mother’s best friend owned B. Barnett, the premier women’s clothing store in town, and Kathleen’s childhood best friend was the granddaughter of the founder of Dillard’s department stores. Even as a young girl, these relationships sparked the dream of owning her own clothing store one day.

Kathleen attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, majoring in Marketing and Psychology. After graduation, she moved to Nashville to work with her sister Sissy Goff at Daystar Counseling Ministries. Kathleen also worked at Nashville’s foremost women’s boutique, JAMIE, and as a stylist for Tina Adams Wardrobe Consulting.

During that time, Kathleen enrolled in the MBA program at Belmont, where the idea of owning her own clothing business began to take shape. Upon earning her masters, and the subsequent launch of the K. McCarthy fashion truck which led to her current retail and online locations, Kathleen’s dreams quickly became a reality.

“There’s something about fashion that, if done well, makes people feel so good about themselves,” Kathleen explains. “With my counseling and fashion background, helping women feel good about themselves through fashion is my sweet spot.”

Outside of her store, Kathleen can be found chasing her toddler Henry. She also dearly loves her Wheaten Terrier, Lolly. On very happy occasions, all four loves – fashion, helping people, a curly headed little boy, and one adorable dog -- will overlap at K. McCarthy.

Why K. McCarthy

“Not only does Kathleen’s attention to detail and her unique ability to pair outfits and accessories together make you feel comfortable and appropriate, she makes shopping an easy and enjoyable experience.” — Corinne Kidd Nashville TN

“Shopping at K. McCarthy is always a pleasure. Kathleen’s background as a wardrobe consultant ensures that the clothes at her store are not only fabulous, they fit real women. She is also more interested in making sure you look and feel great than making a sale, which is very refreshing.” — Anna Catherine Davenport Nashville TN

“Owner and founder Kathleen Weber has an eye for style and a knack for building strong relationships.” — Styleblueprint
